The Vicar's Voice:Mother Michele Whitford
Spring has finally come! The daffodils and tulips are in bloom around the church and new leaves are budding bringing green back into our landscape. Today as I write this it is the Feast of the Ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ. Forty days after the Resurrection our Lord ascended to the right hand of the Father as he told his disciples he would. He promised to send an Advocate, a Comforter, The Holy Spirit who would lead and guide them to share the Good News to all nations. In ten more days we will celebrate the Feast of Pentecost, Sunday, May 20th, when the Holy Spirit descends upon the disciples as a mighty wind and tongues of fire. The Disciples are empowered to step out and share the Gospel of Jesus crucified and risen from the dead for the salvation of all people. I invite you to join us for this the third most important feast day in the church calendar. All are welcome to come and enjoy our Spirit filled worship.
In His Mercy,

Fellowship & Hospitality
When we read about Jesus we see many times his use of food that becomes more than simply fuel for the body. Food offers space for community and is a direct means of connection between worship, community and miracles. When we share food we find a relationship between humanity and food. We build community by getting to know each other and share each other’s stories. Hospitality is not just providing a snack, but it is also being present and sharing each other’s lives. Yes, we do need people to sign up to host a fellowship time, but even more important is participating and learning something new about someone else. Listen to each other and start to develop a unity that we share with Jesus and our church community! Praise God for this faithful community of believers!

We Lift Them to the Lord! Wheelchair Lift Campaign
Much excitement!! Please check out the progress of our new wheelchair lift.
We expect that the lift itself will be installed the week of May 21st!
You can see the progress just inside the door from the parking area
and downstairs in the youth room.
We have raised more than half of the cost of the lift through fundraising and generous donations from you. The remaining $28,000 will be covered by a loan to St. Paul’s from the Diocesan Trustees. To repay the loan, we will begin a capital campaign to Lift Them to the Lord one inch at a time. The lift will travel 112 inches from the first floor to the lower level allowing full access to the Fellowship Hall for everyone. During this campaign we are asking you to prayerfully consider pledging to donate an amount equal to one or more inches. Each inch the lift travels is equal to $250.00. If you pay for an inch in one year it breaks down to a one-time payment of $250 or $21.00 per month for 12 months or $5.00 per week for 52 weeks. You can also choose to pay for an inch over the next 2 years. This would be two annual payments of $125.00 or $10.50 per month or $2.50 per week for two years. Please pray about this and make a pledge for the lift project that will make our Fellowship Hall accessible to everyone.

It is not how much we do,
but how much love we put in the doing.
