The Rev. Dr. Kamal Farah will be teaching The Gospel in Context: Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm at Grace Episcopal Church, 1011 N 7th St. Sheboygan.
Fr. Kamal was our instructor for our pilgrimage to the Holy Lands and taught The Palestine of Jesus. He was also our instructor for the pilgrimage to Greece where he taught In the Footsteps of St. Paul.
Fr Kamal was born in the village of Kefar Bar'am in upper Galilee. He has earned PhD’s in Advanced Linguistics and State Church Laws from Catholic University in Sorbonne-Paris. He was ordained in 1967 and has served as rector of churches in North Galilee and Nazareth. He has also served the Diocese of Jerusalem in several capacities.
Kamal was the course director at St. George’s College in Jerusalem. He is fluent in Aramaic, Syrian, Arabic, Hebrew and English. He is a master at teaching the Bible and its connection to the Holy Land.
Plan on hearing about the Bible and the life of Christians in the Holy Land. His topic of speaking/teaching will be "The Gospel in Context" and will include a time of Q&A. Refreshments will be served. Please plan to join us for this wonderful opportunity to learn from this esteemed teacher.

Fr. Kamal will also be teaching at St. Thomas, 226 Washington St. Menasha on Wednesday, June 13, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. telling Bible stories and answering questions about the Holy Land past and present. On Friday, June 15 he will again be at St. Thomas from 5:30 to 8 p.m. speaking more in depth about the Gospel in its context. Wednesday and Friday include meals. On Sunday he will preach at St. Thomas and then from 11:30 to 1 p.m. he will lead an adult forum. You are encouraged to attend any or all of these events. Thank you to all our teachers & everyone who attended all the Christian Formation Classes this past year: Episcopal 101, Education for Ministry (EfM) and Sunday School. All youth are invited to attend Summer Camp at Camp Lakotah located 3 miles east of Wautoma, WI on Highway 21. The camp offers rustic cabins, a sand beach, open fields & modern facilities for meals & other activities. The Diocese of Fond du Lac Summer Camp is open to all ages to learn more about God, community & self with a lot of fun. The focus is faith development through activities such as arts & crafts, campfires, swimming, frisbee golf, field games, drams, skits, boating, singing, nature hikes, games, storytelling, sky gazing and kite flying. All activities are under the guidance of trained staff, who are committed to Christian formation & safety. Senior Camp for grades 9-12 runs from June 10-16. Cost is $395. Middler Camp for grades 6-8 & Junior Camp for grades 2-5 runs from June 17-June 22. Cost is $330. Kinder Camp for children ages 4-7 with a parent or another adult runs from June 22-24 and costs $140. Joint Worship with St. Peter’s
In Sunday, June 24 at 10:00 am, we will join St. Peter’s parishioners for our annual joint Worship Service. This year the service will be held at St. Peter’s and they will supply the meats & beverages. St. Paul’s will supply the salads & desserts. A sign-up sheet will be available in early June.
Join our diocesan family from all over Northeastern Wisconsin to worship & fellowship together. The Eucharistic Festival will be Saturday, June 30 starting at 11am. The Celebration of Holy Eucharist, with guest homilist the Rev. Canon Victoria Heard will be followed by the Bishop’s Picnic. Volunteers are needed to sing in the choir & help with set-up and clean-up. More details can be found at: www.diofdl.org
